Update 6 AM

I just saw on channel 7, from Greenville, that schools are closed today in Rutherford County. I went outside to check, we are still at 34 degrees here where I live, and it was all rain. As you know, Rutherford County includes Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, and Rutherfordton. As I stated earlier, some of those areas will have a temperature that is 2 or 3 degrees colder, resulting in some freezing. The school decisions, I assume, reflect those conditions.

Unless I receive word of some freezing, we are still on go for a regular opening time.
